Research Areas

Faculty research spans a broad spectrum of computing and applied ICT disciplines, reflecting both the technical depth of computer science and the Faculty’s commitment to applying technology to pressing societal needs. Research activity is organized around three thematic clusters — Intelligent Systems, Digital Infrastructure, and Applied & Societal computing — though many projects deliberately cut across these boundaries.

Intelligent Systems

Artificial intelligence, data science, natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics — disciplines that give machines the capacity to sense, reason, and act.

Digital Infrastructure

Computer networks, cloud platforms, cybersecurity mechanisms, Internet of Things architectures, and blockchain systems that underpin modern digital services.

Applied & Societal

E-Agriculture receives particular emphasis — precision farming, agricultural data analytics, smart irrigation, and farm-management systems — alongside renewable energy informatics, health informatics, digital journalism, FinTech, smart cities, educational technologies, digital transformation, and human–computer interaction.
