Employment opportunities and careers

Employment in computer and IT occupations is projected to grow much faster than average — about 13% from 2023 to 2033 in the U.S. — with approximately 356,700 job openings annually due to growth and replacement needs. Median annual wages were $105,990 in 2024, more than double the average for all occupations. Around 30–50% of ICT roles offer remote or hybrid options, while operational roles often require onsite presence.
