Memories are a beautiful thing. On July 26th — 27th, 2018, something beautiful happened. Developer Student Club (DSC) Leads were gathered from across Africa for a summit, with the end goal of impacting lives. At this summit, participants were encouraged to foster mobile and web development skills in their various universities. All the participants were undergraduates — people positioned to change the way their communities think about technology. Amongst the many jewels of Wisdom, dropped into the audience during the audience, one in particular stood out to me: Awosupin Solomon (Program Manager, Developer Skilling at Google)
The Developer Student Club program is a program for university students, designed to help them build their mobile and web development skills and to help them work towards employability. We’ll be organizing workshops, meetups, showcases, hackathons, and also expose students to opportunities available for them.
