MSc in Development Planning

Programme overview
The ICT University's development planning programme offers the opportunity to develop a critical awareness of the social, economic and management issues underlying socio-economic change; to build critical, analytical and integrative skills for resolving human and environmental development challenges; to enhance knowledge for informed decision and policy-making on development issues; to provide operational skills pertinent to working in the public, private or community domains; and to offer participatory practical research experience and opportunities for reflection. Some of the courses covered include foundations of development planning, poverty and development strategies, strategic planning & management, current issues in international development, and health, education & development.
Program structure
Minimum of 15 compulsory courses (90 credits), a maximum of one elective course (6 credits), the presentation of a business plan (6 credits), an organisational internship (12 credits) and a dissertation (18 credits).
