BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
Business Management
The department develops and produces managers and other business professionals capable of using human and other resources to meet development needs — and to take advantage of the opportunities of Cameroon within the global context.
Pathways through the degree
The department offers a major, a minor, an honours degree and a compulsory industrial attachment.
Major in Management
Complete all required courses and obtain a minimum grade point average of 2.0.
Minor option
Cover at least 75% of the compulsory courses for the degree in Management, plus at least 25% of the compulsory courses in the minor department.
Honours degree
A CGPA of 3.20 or higher at the end of the third year, plus an independent research project supervised by a faculty member.
Industrial attachment
Eight weeks at the end of the second semester of the second year — assessed on job performance and a comprehensive report.
Programme objectives
The objective of the department is to develop both the intellectual and managerial potential of its students, and to develop through its programmes their intellectual and critical thinking ability as well as their research, managerial and entrepreneurial skills.

Admission and graduation requirements
Admission requires General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level passes in at least two subjects in the Arts or Sciences, in addition to University requirements. To be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, students must meet all the graduation requirements set out in the General Academic Regulations, successfully complete all required courses, and obtain a minimum grade point average of 2.0.
Employment opportunities and careers
After graduation, students can gain employment in any profit and non-profit making organisation, both at home and abroad. Graduates are also expected to contribute to the high-level manpower development requirement of the country.
